The growth of the human population and the intensification of their activities have caused changes in the environments used for the nesting of Testudines, altering the vegetation of the spawning sites of these animals. This study aimed to carry out a systematic review on the influence of vegetation on the reproduction of Testudines. For this, a search for articles was carried out on the Web of Science platform, evaluating them according to the PRISMA protocol. Studies from several years were retrieved, with marine and freshwater species, which addressed several parameters related to vegetation, such as height of the plants and distance from the nests, presenting different influences on the reproduction of Testudines. Vegetation was related to hatching rate, predation rate, spawning site selection, nest incubation temperature, sex ratio, among other parameters. Thus, vegetation is an important factor that must be considered when analyzing the reproduction of these animals.
