The increase in pulp consumption of the açai fruit expands to new national and international markets, requiring research to obtain new cultivars that can meet this growing demand. Many researches involve a large number of progenies that make it difficult to interpret the results in graphic analysis, so the objective of this work was to combine multivariate analysis with grouping by dendrogram to reduce the number of progenies for later AMMI analysis in order to identify the superior ones. The 76 progenies were installed in a randomized block design with two replications and five plants per plot. The evaluated characteristics were: FL - number of flowering clusters; FV - number of immature clusters per stipe; TM - cluster size. The conclusions are that the combined use of multivariate analysis, grouping by dendrogram and AMMI graphical analysis are important and efficient in a large number of progenies; there is genetic variability due to the evident distinct individual contributions to the GxA interaction and environmental effects, important for genetic improvement; the best progenies in the AMMI1 model are P55, P7, P70, P71, P5 and P22, adding the P12 progeny to the AMMI2 model. Adding the progenies P72, P61 and P62 by the dendrogram; the different behavior of the progenies between years shows that the development of the plants influences the responses to environmental factors, making the research important to know the requirements and responses of the açai.
