This article aims to recover the traditional knowledge of the Inỹ / Karajá people, from their knowledge and cultural practices, through a workshop on the production of Ritxokó (clay dolls). The workshop was developed with a multigrade class, next to the Hadori Indigenous State School, located in the city of Luciara-MT, with a 12 hour workload. The purpose of the workshop was to rescue the knowledge and cultural practices of the Karajá people. The methodology adopted was of a qualitative nature. For the execution of the workshop the village elder was invited, since she is the bearer of a vast knowledge regarding the manufacture of Ritxokó. After the workshop, an event called culmination was promoted, with the purpose of showing the students' production to the community. We note that the Ritxokó manufacturing workshop has strong cosmological, social and cultural links as well as influence on school education. This makes it a key component for establishing a dialogue between internal / holistic and cultural knowledge and external / school knowledge, so that one does not interfere with the other, but complement each other. Therefore, this research made it possible to know and understand the production process of the Ritxokó, and to identify the relations with the cultural and social environment in the school space.
