Abstract

ABSTRACT

This article has the general objective of analyzing the perspective of the fake news phenomenon, bringing its concept and presenting its consequences in the political sphere. Related to this, the specific objectives will be to analyze the historical and social context of the internet, in addition to seeking to understand how its use can be a means for the commission of crimes, especially those related to the propagation of false news; Describe about the electoral process in Brazil; to reflect on the incidence of this recent modality of virtual crime, the fake news, in addition to verifying how the application of criminal legislation has been in the face of this new form of crime, when it occurs for harmful purposes in the democratic political sphere in Brazil. Bearing in mind that the number of behaviors like this has systematically grown in Brazil, relating to the entire historical context in contrast to today's society. Nowadays, Brazil has been one of the countries that stands out most in cases of fake news, leading debates in the digital and journalistic world. In addition, this research will not have field research, however, it will have a documentary and bibliographic character. Furthermore, once the final considerations regarding the methodology have been raised, the real intention is to highlight the elaboration and formatting techniques of this scientific project, clarifying used concepts, their application and their foundation, making use of theories and studies. Thus seeking a conceptual level in-depth and informative to society.
