Sustentabilidade, Saúde e Políticas Sociais: Repensando o Bem-Estar Social no Século 21

Resumo

A possibilidade de se criar políticas de promoção à saúde, que olhem para um horizonte de longo prazo, depende da capacidade de gerar um ambiente saudável para as pessoas. Contudo, a criação destas políticas se depara com diferentes obstáculos que são examinados neste trabalho. Entre eles encontra-se a complexa relação que pode ser estabelecida entre saúde, sustentabilidade e políticas sociais. Embora todos esses tópicos tenham nas necessidades humanas um tema em comum, nem sempre a integração entre essas dimensões é considerada na literatura acadêmica. O trabalho examina alguns dos desafios que se apresentam ante a possibilidade de se pensar numa política social ecológica no século XXI.
