Impacto materno-infantil dos tratamentos de câncer na gravidez

Resumo

A principal causa de morte de mulheres em idade reprodutiva é o câncer. No entanto, o câncer durante a gravidez é um evento raro e seu maior desafio é o diagnóstico precoce. As alterações fisiológicas que ocorrem durante a gestação podem mascarar os sinais e sintomas da doença, causando significativo impacto materno-fetal. Os tratamentos mais utilizados são quimioterapia, radioterapia e tratamento cirúrgico, sendo que o principal obstáculo para o sucesso terapêutico é alcançar o equilíbrio entre a intervenção imediata para a indicação materna e o retardo na terapia para a indicação fetal. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo descrever sobre os impactos materno-fetais dos diferentes tipos de tratamentos de câncer durante a gravidez. Para o seu desenvolvimento foi realizada revisão integrativa da literatura com busca nas bases de dados Public Medline (PubMed) e Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo). Observou-se que o tratamento cirúrgico e a quimioterapia são os tratamentos de escolha por apresentarem menos riscos para a mãe e o feto se realizados durante o segundo trimestre de gravidez. Já a radioterapia se apresenta incerta com relação a suas consequências, mas pode ser considerada se os benefícios forem maiores que os riscos.
